Rubyyy's solo work is a blend of burlesque, performance art and glittering politics, with acts that range from sassy and silly neo burlesque acts to theatre for development and change through cabaret performance. Several of these acts can be booked with a range of choices in energy, styling and even costume to suit your audience, event or theme.
Rubyyy has created bespoke entertainment for a number of events, from installations and one-to-one performances, to programming shows within larger events and special performances for fabulous evenings. Rubyyy is a artist, performer and chameleon; if you need a performance which is impactful, faceted and unique, please get in touch. A neo burlesque exploration of modern sexuality and the partnership of sex and technology; a hilarious and sexy celebration of real bodies in motion and sensuality.
Debuted in 2011, this act has traveled the UK and Europe and the updated costume is the same pieces with added sparkle lift. Recently performed at the premier neo burlesque party in Munich 'Glitterama'!

A neo drag exploration of frustrations over the constant of consumerism and the rage of being a woman who is empowered in few ways except through her spending and choices of which pair of shoes to buy or wear. Updated act has no props, more dance and more polished styling. New costume is an absurd and bold dress, all ivory ruffles and crystal beadin, with matching appliqued hat, gloves and shoes; recent picture available. Performed at the luxurious, Supperclub Amsterdam and the fabulous, Female Masculinity Appreciation Society.

A dancelesque performance, initially bespoke for the Frida Kahlo edition of This Is Your Funeral at London's famed Bethnal Green Working Men's Club. A celebration of the body's agility and fragility, it's pleasures and fate. Performed in the Japanese Room at The Victoria & Albert Museum for their Friday Late event 'Queer and Now'.

A dancelesque piece created to explore the dark parts of love and loving, the relish and eroticism of heartbreak and the seduction of someone moving on. Rubyyy casts a spell with her strong physicality and palatable emotion, the perfect act to bring further variety or depth to a romantic or love themed show. Updated costume is all black, with more sparkle but still very simple.

A neo burlesque tribute to the beautiful women of classic burlesque! Gorgeous sparkly goddesses who power through, push hard and know 'the show must go on'. So whether it's the flu, Aunt Flo or just a bad f*cking day, they're dancing with everything they've got and we're none the wiser. Recently performed at legendary LGBTQ+ event 'Bar Wotever'.

A neo burlesque whirlwind of technicolour silliness and disco clown dancing which honours the comedy roots of burlesque and the tradition of 'You Gotta Get A Gimmick' in the lore of 'lesque. Also, an unofficial but loving tribute to legendary and inspiring Satan's Angel. An energetic and hysterical experience! Costume has a slight change of a large organza blue duster in place of the white one and added embellishments. Recently performed at Goodtime Cabahooray, produced by Burlesque Hall of Fame Legend, Goodtime Mama Jojo.

A tangy and twisted neo burlesque 'balloon pop' which is frivolously filthy and good clean fun for everyone. This is Rubyyy's reappropriation of the taboo of fetishes, sexual shame and an education on who can take part. Also, part of Rubyyy's show: The Rubyyy Experience (2017) which immerses the audience in a Utopian Sex Worker scenario in one-to-one or small audience performances.

Performance art/queer performance piece which reveals, momentarily, domestic violence and the brutality and intricacy of these events in our lives and communities. Credit to Noah Henne for allowing Rubyyy to develop one of his ideas into this shocking and impactful piece. A one-to-one/small audience/installation piece, in which the audience member(s) becomes the client and buys the ultimate fantasy: the funny and filthy Rubyyy Experience of the Bukkake! Balloon Pop. With the chance to specify* many personal preferences, from personality to music, wardrobe to balloon filling... Clients are guaranteed a professional, exhilerating and revealing time, customised for the Rubyyy Experience of your wildest dreams. Our friendly and discreet reception is managed by Prince Lydia and our cool down space is clean, quiet and warm, thanks to our knowledgable and attentive staff who will be onhand to assist you.
Duration: 30 minutes per client, times vary depending on which TRE version of experience/facilities/event preferences; currently under development.

THEATRE...
Rubyyy Jones trained and graduated with honours in Music Theatre Performance from Sheridan College, studying with some of North America's leaders in theatre, acting, music and dance: Marc Richard, Suzanne Bennett, Terry Tweed.
Rubyyy has worked professionally in theatre for almost two decades, starting with events with an improv troop and a debut performance in The Vagina Monologues. Before leaving Canada for the UK, she travelled across the country; performing for about a thousand kids a day.
Living in London almost a decade, Rubyyy is a busy voice over actor in the daylight hours and she continues to work in theatre as a performer and also director, choreographer and practitioner.
One of the founding members of the Arcola Theatre's Queer Collective: Midsummer Night's Dream Oberon/Hippolyta, Choreographer,The Little Prince CoDirector and Choreographer. Rubyyy has also worked for the Arcola Theatre as a teacher (burlesque, queer performance and misc) and guest artist (All Delighted People: Alternative Beauty Pageant, Rotterdam Carnival 2016: Various Appearances)
